Sigmund Selig, the Great Sage, is a Vetian scholar. [1]

Early Life[]

Selig was born in Guenac, Equitaine. His father was an Arcalean merchant and his mother a waiter to an Equitan Duchess. He was raised in a multitude of cities in Vetia while his parents travelled. Later, Selig studied at many fine universities, paid for by his father. [2]

Career[]

Selif travelled much in his youth, supposedly all over the world [2]. He is said to have been a courtier to Louis Meek and worked as an astrologer in Sonnstahl and as a chronologer to Tzar Oleg [1].

Selig transcribed his experiences and brought them back to Vetia. Now he resides in Avras when not travelling. [2]

Selig as a narrator[]

Selig appears in a recorded interview in the 9th Scroll, issues 3, 4, 5 and 10. There is he asked all manner of questions. He appears knowledgeable on the subjects, and if the presentation given about him is to be believed, he should be. The interview is not dated but Selig names the king of Equitaine as Henry the Young, which places the interview somewhere between 960 and 962 A.S., according to the Equitan Royal Family Tree [3]. This means the information given is fresh, although Selig is described as an old man, so his memory might not be the most trustworthy.
